Matthew 5:42  Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

Matthew 6:1-4  Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.  (2)  “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.  (3)  But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,  (4)  so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

What do I still lack?”  (21)  Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”  (22)  When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Matthew 25:44-46  Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’  (45)  Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’  (46)  And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Mark 10:20-22  And he said to him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.”  (21)  And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”  (22)  Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Luke 14:12-14  He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.  (13)  But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,  (14)  and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.

Luke 19:8-10  And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”  (9)  And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham.  (10)  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
